Young Money Rapper Indicted For Double Murder
Lil Wayne’s rap protege Flow has been arrested in Louisiana following his indictment on a double murder charge.
The aspiring star was initially taken into custody in July, 2014, a month after authorities named him as a suspect in the slaying of brothers Kendrick and Kendred Bishop.
The siblings, ages 22 and 18, respectively, were found shot and killed in a car in New Orleans on May 25, 2015.
Flow, real name Widner Degruy, was booked on two counts of second-degree murder, but was released after posting $500,000 bail.
On Thursday, the 23-year-old was indicted for the the murders, while he was also slapped with counts of conspiracy to commit murder, obstruction of justice, and conspiracy to obstruct justice.
His co-accused, Jonathan Evans, is facing the same charges. He has remained behind bars since his initial bust in July 2015.
Meanwhile, Flow’s girlfriend Jamya ‘Mya’ Brady has also been arrested and charged with two counts of obstruction, and a fourth defendant, Chantell Edwards, remains at large. She stands accused of serving as an accessory after the fact to the killings.
Flow, who signed to Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment label in 2012, is now being held on $3.5 million bail.
Wayne has yet to comment on the news.
