Support has grown dramatically for a petition to get Snoop Dogg to narrate a season of BBC nature documentary series Planet Earth.

The series is currently presented and narrated by David Attenborough, but the rapper recorded voiceovers to footage from the show for a segment on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in March last year, which proved to be a huge hit.

Snoop’s “Plizzanet Earth” now features regularly on the show, and has been a hit across social media. During one episode, the rapper tried to narrate an encounter between a herd of otters and a crocodile. “They ain’t scared of him!” he laughs as the otters corner the croc. “What is these animals?”

The petition was started by Kelly Ooton from the U.K., and she implores people to support calls to get Snoop to narrate a full series of the nature show.

“Snoop Dogg has narrated some Planet Earth in the past but yo we need him to narrate full episodes. Sign the petition if you agree,” she writes.

More than 35,000 fans have supported the petition since Thursday, and as of Sunday the total number of signatures stands at 42,531.

Snoop himself has even voiced his support for the online campaign, and posted a link to the petition on Twitter, writing, “Who made this? Let’s get this sh** going. Who want more Plizzanet Earth?”
