Jennifer Aniston has been named People magazine’s World’s Most Beautiful Woman 2016.

The 47-year-old actress was unveiled as the cover of the publication’s prestigious annual issue on Today on Wednesday morning. She previously topped the magazine’s list of 50 Most Beautiful People back in 2004.

In the accompanying interview with People, Aniston admits she is “very, very flattered” by the honor.

“I thought, ‘Oh my God,'” she said of the moment she found out.”There was this sort of very excited, teenage-y kind of moment.”

Aniston is famous worldwide for her toned physique and flawless complexion, as well as her acting talent. Maintaining the former doesn’t come easily, but the star insists she feels better in herself when she stays healthy.

“It’s funny, it’s a really quick transition from not a care and now all of a sudden, we’ve got to really be mindful of what we put inside our bodies,” she shared. “And how we sleep and take care of ourselves. You can get away with a lot in your 20s.”

The former Friends star was first encouraged to take a step back and look at her diet early in her career, when she was turned down for a role for being “too chubby.” While Aniston was offended at the time, the comment caused her to take stock of just what she was putting in her body.

“I was like, ‘What?!’ But my diet was terrible,” she laughed. “Milkshakes and French fries with gravy. It was a good thing to start paying attention.”

Now Aniston allows herself the odd treat, such as her husband Justin Theroux’s pasta carbonara, and balances things out by exercising six days a week, an hour at a time.

She married actor Theroux back in August 2015, and admits her relationship is one of the happiest aspects of her life.

“He makes me laugh. He’s so interesting and so interested,” she smiled. “He’s unbelievably talented in more areas than one and he’s just a good man.”

Aniston also opened up about her beauty secrets in the interview with People, admitting she wishes she knew how to contour when she was younger, and even revealing she’s keen to see what she’d look like with a pixie cut.

“If I knew I could instantly push it back. I’m very curious to see what I would look like with really short hair,” she said. “But I’ll never do it. Never. I’m a long hair girl. It’s like a security blanket.”

Other stars to feature in People magazine’s 2016 list of Most Beautiful include Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Helen Mirren, Brie Larson, Kerry Washington and Lupita Nyong’o.

Last year Sandra Bullock received the honor.
