How Gigi Hadid Landed Topshop Campaign

Gigi Hadid, one of the biggest names in the modeling industry, is now the 20-year-old beauty to front the Fall 2015 Topshop campaign.
Topshop shared the official news to their Twitter on Monday, July 27, 2015. The tweet is coupled with a photo of the American model sporting their new AW15 line.

Hadid, who has 4.8 million Instagram followers, is a genius way for the retailer to expand its international reach.

Sir Philip Green, the chairman of retail giant Arcadia Group says, “Working with Gigi Hadid on this campaign continues to strengthen our international vision for the Topshop brand. We are continually developing our footprint across all markets with ambitious plans both in the U.K. and internationally, and I feel like Gigi is an ideal ambassador to underpin these efforts.”

Topshop has a history of appointing supermodels with serious social media currency. The past names to have graced the brand are Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Hailey Baldwin and the Jenner sisters.
The “ideal ambassador” was excited to share the news on her widely followed Instagram.
