This Hand-Built Wooden Delorean Will Send You Back To The Nostalgia

When “I’m-not-even-a-carpenter” graphic designer Callum Preston was picking his next project, he decided on an object from one of the most beloved 80’s classics of all time: Back to the Future.
“If I had to choose a favorite car, it would for sure be the Delorean, from Back to the Future,” said Preston in a video uploaded to YouTube.
Preston, who even shared an image of himself from 1994 standing in front of a life-size model of the famous time-traveling vehicle, endeavored to replicate that car with a version made entirely out of wood. The finished product would then be featured at an art show.
The accompanying video follows Preston in his “6-Step” process of building a life-size model Delorean, from cutting the first pieces of plywood for the wheels, to painting the exterior, even to moving the finished project to the nearby art studio where it would be displayed in his “Bootleg the Future” exhibit. And trust us, moving the car would be far easier said than done.
What started as replicating a 1/15th scale model toy to a full-size car that you can actually sit in, Preston’s finished product was a marvel to behold.
Judging by the warm reception and accolades from art and film enthusiasts alike, Preston’s work was a rare experience of bringing nostalgia back to the future.
