Bill Cosby Thanks Fans for Support
Bill Cosby rang in the New Year by reaching out to fans to thank them for their support after he was hit with an indecent assault charge.
The Cosby Show star was charged with aggravated indecent assault on Wednesday, stemming from allegations he attacked Andrea Constand at his mansion in Pennsylvania in January 2004.
The 78-year-old turned himself in to police and was arraigned in a Montgomery County courthouse before being released on $1 million bail.
Cosby has remained largely silent amid the scandal, but on New Year’s Day, he started the year with a message of thanks to those who have been supporting him.
“Friends and fans, Thank You,” he wrote in a post on Twitter.
The tweet did not come without some backlash however.
Cosby is due back in court on January 14 for a preliminary hearing in the case.
