Ben Stiller is relieved former United States First Lady Laura Bush turned down a cameo in Zoolander 2, because he had planned to ask her to appear in an orgy scene.

The actor reveals he approached George W. Bush’s 69-year-old wife to join the many guest stars making an appearance in the new fashion comedy, but she declined before Stiller could reveal exactly what Mrs. Bush would do.

The 50-year-old admits he is glad to have dodged the awkward conversation because he only realized how ridiculous his idea was.

“She was so smart to politely say no!” Stiller revealed on the Today show on Tuesday.

“There was a group of people that Hansel, Owen Wilson’s character, is having a relationship with… and I was going to ask her to be a member of that group. Actually, I just asked her if she would be interested. She politely declined and then I was so glad I didn’t have to ask her to be part of this group of people that Hansel is having relations with!” Stiller continued.

Matt Lauer, who works with former First Daughter Jenna Bush Hager on the show,  pressed Stiller to confirm it was an orgy scene to which he replied, “Yes, that’s correct.”

“I don’t know what I was thinking. The reality of when it came out of my mouth, I realized it was insane” he added.

Zoolander 2, which stars Stiller and Wilson as supermodels, also features Kim Kardashian and her rapper husband Kanye West in small roles, as well as guest appearances by of Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Demi Lovato.

Meanwhile, the film’s co-writer, Justin Theroux, this week revealed he tried to recruit his wife, actress Jennifer Aniston, to make a cameo, but she was unavailable.

“She was working, I couldn’t get her out there…. We did want her to be in it, it was just a scheduling thing,” he told U.S. news show Extra.
